Brooklands Valiant nose completed for display
Personnel at Brooklands Museum in Weybridge, Surrey, have completed restoration work on the nose of Vickers Valiant XD816. The completed exhibit has been moved from the main hangar to the recently re-opened Stratosphere Chamber, originally built in 1947 to investigate high-speed flight at very high altitudes. Historic aircraft fly over war memorial in Estevan, Canada
An event was held on September 10 in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada to commemorate Canadian World War Two veterans with the dedication of a memorial sculpture in their honour. Over 500 people attended the event which included a parade that began at the Estevan Legion and concluded in front of City Hall at the Soldiers Tree memorial. The parade consisted of a pipe band, colour party, members of the army and air cadets, a member guard from the Princess Patricia light infantry battalion, and World War Two-era vehicles...
