BRITISH AIRWAYS (BA) has revealed the first destinations for its new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. The jets, which are due for delivery from September, will be employed initially on services to Delhi from October 25, followed by Abu Dhabi/Muscat and Kuala Lumpur as further examples are acquired.
The aircraft, a stretched version of the -8s already in operation with the London Heathrow-based carrier, will also be BA’s first Dreamliners to feature a four-class cabin including an all-new First Class product. The 14 suites incorporate an ottoman, additional personal storage space over the airline’s existing offering and an upgraded seat and in-flight entertainment console.
The new cabin will also be retrofitted to 18 of BA’s 747-400s, the first of which is due to re-enter service in September.
