January 28: Eurofighter Typhoons marked up with the future tail codes of No.6 Squadron have been spotted at Royal Air Force Coningsby in Lincolnshire this week. Three aircraft are believed to be marked, including ZK302/EA, ZK304/EB and ZK305/EC (pictured).
It is expected that 6 Squadron will formally ‘stand-up’ at RAF Coningsby on April 1 with at least four aircraft before moving north to RAF Leuchars in Scotland in the summer.

At last some tagible news on the reforming of 6 Sqn. It is a travesty that they were stood down for this short period which lost them the unique title of being the "Longest Continuous Serving Squadron in the World" 1914 to 2007.
Our 6 Squadron Association members will be dancing in the street !!!
