March 4: Five Hawk aircraft and about fifty personnel from the Royal Air Force’s No.100 Squadron, based at RAF Leeming in North Yorkshire, UK have arrived in Gibraltar at the start of a one-week air combat training exercise in Exercise ‘Pirate Rock’.

The squadron specialises in fast jet weapon systems training and will be working with Tornado GR4s from No.II(AC) Squadron, based at RAF Marham in Norfolk. The Marham wing is currently undertaking Close Air Support operations for Operation ‘Herrick’ in Afghanistan.
