March 5: Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has received its first two Embraer 170 E-Jets. The aircraft are configured in a dual-class layout, featuring seven seats in business class and 60 in economy and also sport a state-of-the-art In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system.

The E-Jets are the smallest aircraft in Gulf Air’s fleet and have been leased from Embraer.

Gulf Air will first use the E-Jet on the Bahrain to Larnaca in Cyprus route on March 8.
