Devon & Cornwall Police have taken delivery of a new EC145.

March 8: Devon & Cornwall Police have taken delivery of a new Eurocopter EC145 helicopter equipped with the latest aids in reconnaissance and airborne crime fighting, such as a state-of-the-art Infra Red camera, sophisticated video viewing and recording equipment, and night vision goggles.
Ordered in September 2007, it replaces an earlier BK117 that had been in service for 12 years.

hopefully, this will be a quieter helicopter, the bk117, hovers around the city centre, where i live at night sometimes and its pretty noisey!

i heard it fly over, directly and it seems very quiet on fly past, hovering though just as noisey. obviously not done for stealth!
