Remembering Mark Hanna – extra pictures

The current FlyPast, pays tribute to OFMC’s Mark Hanna, an airshow legend who tragically lost his life 20 years ago this month.

While pulling together this article – and since then – we’ve come across some more pictures of Mark that we either didn’t have space to publish, or have received since publication. We hope you enjoy these – most of which have rarely, if ever, been seen.

The image at the top of the page, and the first four below are from our archive, but everything after that was kindly supplied by Maggie Radcliffe who, along with husband Tony, were the founder members of Tiger Squadron, OFMC’s enthusiast supporters group which ran for several years at OFMC’s Duxford base both during and after Mark’s life.

OFMC continues to operate its famous Spitfire Mk.IX MH434, and a special tribute to Mark will be flown at the forthcoming September Battle of Britain Airshow at Duxford on Sept 21 and 22.
