First COVID-19 tests available at Berlin’s Tegel and Schönefeld Airports

New free of charge coronavirus tests are now available at Berlin’s two airports. The tests are voluntary and were launched at Schönefeld (SXF), yesterday (July 29) and are available at Tegel (TXL) from today.

At Tegel, the tests can be taken in Terminal A, while Schönefeld’s are available from Terminal Area L. These allows those returning from high risk areas an immediate opportunity to be tested for COVID-19 as soon as they arrive at both airports.

Preparations for compulsory tests are already underway at both airports and suitable test sites have been identified in Tegel’s Terminal D and Schönefeld Terminal Area M.
