Which Aircraft is Leaving Air Canada with Immediate Effect?

In a bid to reduce its costs, Air Canada is accelerating the retirement of 79 older aircraft from its fleet including the Boeing 767, Airbus A319 and Embraer E190, with the latter exiting immediately. The decision comes as the flag carrier revealed a C$1bn (£599m) net loss for the first quarter, compared to a C$345m (£197m) profit for the same period last year.

Coronavirus: Airbus Confirms New Cargo Pallet System

European aircraft manufacturer, Airbus is developing a conversion system that will allow freight pallets to be installed on the cabin floor of the A330 and A350 widebody passenger aircraft. The solution will enable airlines to mount cargo shipments to the seat tracks following the removal of the economy-class seats.

Wizz Air’s First Abu Dhabi Destinations Revealed

Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air has announced five new routes connecting Europe with Abu Dhabi, the first of its new UAE subsidiary. The airline is planning to launch services to Budapest and Bucharest from June and Cluj-Napoca, Katowice and Sofia in September.

The main flying displays the organisers say will be on Saturday and Sunday. The event website also says: "Join us again for our fantastic classic air display in the stunning grounds of the Ragley Hall Estate. There will be a wide array displays including Warbirds, Classic Jets, Helicopters, amazing high energy aerobatics, aerial ballet, flying circus and some of the largest radio controlled models in the world, that are so big you can almost climb into them!
