On August 14, the US Air Force (USAF) announced plans to equip Air National Guard (ANG) bases in Florida and Oregon – which operate F-15C/D Eagle fighters – with F-35As and F-15EXs from 2022.

"There will also be parachute display teams plus the chance to get up close and personal to some of our display aircraft which will be landing on site on our own dedicated runway! Our flying display will be an exciting and entertaining mix, with even a small section dedicated to our younger visitors."
The event webpage states: "On the ground, in the air, and even in the clothes you wear! Step back into summer 1940 at the Battle of Britain Air Show and see historic Duxford come to life."
The event website states: "Every morning, the public can get closer to the planes via the static exhibition and interact with the pilots and mechanics...The afternoon is specially dedicated to flight presentations with a show lasting more than 5 hours including around a hundred aircraft flying in the skies of Essonne. The show unfolds through thematic scenes the history of aeronautics, from the time of the pioneers to the latest generation of civil and military aircraft."
