Due to the rapidly developing repercussions of the coronavirus outbreak, the Anglo American Lightning Organisation (AALO) has decided to postpone its planned fast taxi run of English Electric Lightning T.5 XS422.
The company organising the event states Flywheel is "two jam-packed days of action celebrating all things wings, wheels and motion...Flywheel will see a host of classic motoring marques join the displays along the tree-lined avenues of the historic site. Fans of vintage flight can expect an equally spectacular showcase, with a broad range of historic aircraft set to grace the site’s grass airfield – winding back the years and commemorating the site’s heritage as an RAF Blenheim Bomber training station."
The event page states: "Flying Days are a series of special themed events throughout the summer, reflecting on the role Duxford has played in aviation history. These special events provide up to two hours of scheduled flying, on top of your great day out at IWM Duxford."
This is a new addition to Shuttleworth's airshow calendar and the event webpage states it is a: "celebration of world-wide aviation, both in the air and on the ground, with a variety of countries and cultures celebrated throughout the day."
