74 Sqn Lightning pilot recalls Singapore adventures

Trevor MacDonald Bennett talked to Hugh Trevor for the February 2015 issue of FlyPast about his time with 74 Squadron

As a 20-year-old ‘first tourist’ Trevor MacDonald Bennett was posted to 226 Operational Conversion Unit at Coltishall, Norfolk, to convert to the English Electric Lightning. He was destined to join 74 (Tiger) Squadron at Leuchars in Scotland which was re-equipping with the Mk.6.
