AIRBUS CORPORATE Helicopters (ACH) displayed an ACH130 helicopter at the 2018 European Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition, held in Geneva in May. The aircraft is the first ACH130 to be delivered and its appearance at the event marked the first time that ACH-version of the light singleengine H130 helicopter has been displayed in public.
Airbus Corporate Helicopters was formally launched as the rotary wing partner of Airbus Corporate Jets (ACJ) at the previous EBACE event in May, 2017.
The aircraft on display at EBACE 2018 has been purchased by an un-named customer, but it will be operated by Monacair, which was established in 1988 and is based at Monaco Heliport.
Airbus Corporate Helicopters said the helicopter is fitted in the company’s in-house ‘Stylence by ACH’ configuration, a lightweight, high quality interior which it says is suitable for intensive VIP air transport operations.
Frederic Lemos, Head of Airbus Corporate Helicopters said: “The ACH130 combines unique passenger-focussed design, exceptional single-engine performance and first-class quality and comfort, making it very popular with private customers worldwide and a favourite of Monacair, a world-leading VIP and charter operator.” Monacair operates a fleet comprising Airbus AS365N3s, EC135s, EC155B1s, H130s, H175s, Agusta 109s and AgustaWestland AW139s.
