Aerosoft Gibraltar professional

The Gateway to the Mediterranean

The approach to Gibraltar is very impressive.

This is another scenery product from Aerosoft in its new professional range, which once again (initially) only supports Prepar3D V4. In this case it depicts Gibraltar - a location that sports a fairly unique airport, sitting at the mouth of the Mediterranean Sea, with its runway traversing the main road into the resort. It’s listed as one of the most dangerous airports in the world, mainly because of its proximity to the large mass of rock (Jurassic limestone, in fact) that towers over it. This naturally creates very strong crosswinds, making landings very uncomfortable for passengers. Oh, and did I forget to mention, it also has the Mediterranean Sea at both ends of the runway.
