Offshore Landmarks: North Sea released

Aerosoft has released a new scenery pack for Microsoft Flight Simulator covering the North Sea, the English Channel and the Irish sea with platforms, wind farms and shipping traffic.

All the objects are placed in the correct position using real-world databases with ships located where they were on January 20, 2022. So cargo ships are at an anchorage waiting for a port dock to become available, fishing vessels are sailing to fishing grounds and construction ships are placing pylons for new wind turbines, etc.

The package sports a huge variety of marine objects such as substations, wind farms, crane platforms, oil and gas platforms, drilling rigs and anchorages with dynamic lighting. Shipping vessel types include trawlers, container ships, oil tankers, ferries, cruise ships, etc.

Some ships and platforms are also equipped with helidecks or winches, and the added support for helicopters in MSFS provides a new territory to explore. In total, the package features 388 new heliports, 196 new airports and 78 new NDB stations.
