Aerosphere’s Piper Warrior II review

Way of the warrior

The PA-28-161 Warrior II is a versatile single-engine trainer aircraft, often touted as being one of the sturdiest in the business when it comes to forgivable dynamics and benign characteristics most sought after by flight schools. As a standout feature, its flight behaviour is stable, predictable and with a gentler nature in the stall and a low minimum clean speed than some of the other heavier, larger Piper aircraft on the market.

Cruising figures are modest to say the least and compared to the Archer we reviewed in the previous edition of PC Pilot, there are some key differences to the Warrior that exist in the real world which also may make you consider how best to spend your money if you’re in the market for a new GA plane to potter around in.
