Cuban Crash

More than 100 people were killed when the Global Air jet they were flying on, crashed immediately after take-off from Havana/José Marti on May 18. The aircraft, Boeing 737-201Adv XA-UHZ (c/n 21816), came down on railway tracks close to the airport’s domestic terminal and was destroyed by the impact and resulting fire.
