Airbus A320neo takes flight in X-Plane

Aircraft developer, Toliss has released the Airbus A320neo for X-Plane 11 and 12.

The A320neo (New Engine Option) is a modern, fuel-efficient variant of the Airbus narrow-body airliner with state-of-the-art engines and large Sharklet wingtip devices for improved aerodynamics.

The aircraft from Toliss offers two engine options: the Pratt & Whitney W1127G-JM and CFM LEAP1A26. Up front, the flight deck has been made from the ground up with new textures, over 130 working circuit breakers and a fault injection interface, allowing for custom or random failures based on over 210 probable scenarios. The cockpit also sports various animations, such as opening side windows, tray tables and cockpit seats.

The flight deck features a complex FMGS (Flight Management Guidance System) with SID/STAR and airways support, including RNP (Required Navigation Performance) capability. Other highlights include independent MCDUs (Multi-Function Display Units) with full VNAV guidance, weather radar and a TCAS (Traffic collision avoidance system) simulation with resolution advisory functions.

A custom EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) sports Avitab integration with weight & balance computations, take-off and landing performance and interactive checklists. ACARS (Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System) functionality with the option to import SimBrief flight plans is also included.

The flight model features full fly-by-wire controls with alternate and direct law. It also comes with realistic systems, including hydraulics with flow computation, a custom engine model with accurate thrust and fuel flow modelling and a fire detection simulation for engines and APU (Auxiliary Power Unit). Finally, a custom sound set from Turbine Sound Studios for all engine models is included.

The Toliss A320 Neo is available on x-plane.org for $89.99 (approx £73.60).
