Airliner World 250: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Former editor Craig West takes a casual meander back through his time at the helm of Airliner World

Aurigny Air Services’ first Embraer 195, G-NSEY (c/n 190000671), is unveiled to airline employees, invited dignitaries and journalists (including the author) at a hangar party at Guernsey Airport.

In retrospect, I’m not sure which I found more daunting: jumping into the hot seat at Airliner World, a flagship of the Key Publishing empire and, in my humble opinion, the best commercial aviation magazine on the market, or following in the footsteps of the highly esteemed editor Tony Dixon. It was a formidable ask whichever way it was portrayed, but one I very much relished.
