Another Cargolux 747 suffers landing gear emergency

For the second time is less than a week, another Cargolux Boeing 747 experienced problems with its landing gear while making an approach to Luxembourg Airport on May 20.

The 747-8F, LX-VCB (c/n 35806), declared an emergency after its crew received an indication that the gear was not properly deployed.

The aircraft had been conducting flight CV5486 – a cargo service between Chicago/O’Hare and the European country – when it experienced the technical anomaly.
