Antonov-2 International Airport for MSFS released

UKKM Antonov-2 Airport is the Ukrainian base of the Antonov Design Bureau and was home to the only operational AN-225 as well as some of the most eccentric Antonov aircraft designs. The airport was heavily damaged during the invasion of Ukraine with many of the hangars and the AN-225 destroyed.

More than 50 static Antonov aircraft have been painstakingly recreated.

Developed by GazSim, the airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator has been recreated in detail with a mix of 2K and 4K PBR (Physically Based Rendering) textures and accurate taxiways with the main taxiway corridor flanked with more than 50 static Antonov aircraft, which have been painstakingly recreated and parked based on their real-world positions.

The airport buildings have also been accurately recreated, including the hangars with animated doors, the history museum and the famous AN-225 hangar with a static AN-225. The package also sports various animations such as the airport staff entrance gate, shuttle bus and staff recreational area.

A time shift visual feature of the AN-225 hangar allows you to view the aftermath of the aircraft’s demise when the date is set to February 24, 2022.

The package is available on OrbxDirect for AUD$15.18 (approx £8.34). GazSim is donating 10% of the net sales proceeds towards the rebuilding effort of the real AN-225.
