The British Army Air Corps has deployed three Leonardo Helicopters AW159 Wildcat AH1s to support the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) in combatting the COVID-19 pandemic.

The aircraft will operate from RNAS Yeovilton, Somerset, covering the south of England alongside Royal Air Force (RAF)-operated Boeing Chinooks and Westland Puma HC2 transport helicopters, based at RAF Odiham, Hampshire, and RAF Benson, Oxfordshire, respectively.
Norman Bone, chairman and managing director of Leonardo UK, said: “[The company] is proud to support the UK [MoD’s] COVID-19 operations with its AW159 Wildcat helicopters as the country comes together to tackle this pandemic.”
