The Airborne Tactical Advantage Company (ATAC) is dramatically upgrading its fleet and facilities as it positions itself for the unprecedented US Air Force aggressor requirement.

With its K firs and Hunters, TAC has an enviable track record and reputation for supporting US Navy training, but it is facing increasing competition from the likes of TacAir.

THE US AIR Force’s massive demand for contracted aggressor aircraft under the adversary air (ADAIR) competition has focused much attention on the main companies in this emerging and expanding market. It has also set them the tough task of providing sufficient numbers of aircraft of a suitable standard to meet the need. No-one expects a single contractor to be able to meet the task, no matter how close they are to the USAF.
