Bernie Baldwin reports from ATR’s annual results briefing in Paris on another strong year for the Franco-Italian turboprop manufacturer

ATR has reported a ‘solid’ set of results for 2018, including 52 new firm orders, 76 deliveries and revenue of $1.8bn. “The 76 deliveries mean an 85% market share in 2018,” said ATR’s CEO, Stefano Bortoli. He added that US sanctions on Iran had had a negative impact: “We planned to deliver 12 aircraft to Iran Air but [due to the sanctions] were forced to deliver in a shorter time and only managed five. We then had to find places for the other seven and did that before the end of the year.”
