No more jets? Aurigny CEO reveals ambitious plans

Andreas Spaeth travels to Guernsey to meet Nico Bezuidenhout, the ambitious new chief executive of Aurigny.

“I didn’t know the Channel Islands before I came, I only had a bank account here,” quipped Nico Bezuidenhout, chief executive of Aurigny. He is talking to Airliner World in Saint Peter Port, Guernsey’s picturesque capital. It’s unclear if he is making light of recent comments in the South African press, some of which have asked if his move to Europe has something to do with the region’s amenable personal finance environment.
