By using the tool, passengers are able to access real-time flight information and utilise the food ordering service
Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) has launched LocusMaps, a new wayfinding platform that provides passengers with real-time information, including the latest pandemic protocols, shop guides and changed gate assignments.
Created in partnership with LocusLabs, the new app can be accessed through the hub’s website.
Jacqueline Yaft, CEO of AUS, said: “[We are] excited to announce this new partnership with LocusLabs. At our airport, we’re always seeking better ways to serve our customers and enhance the passenger experience. LocusMaps will be instrumental in our achieving those goals for passenger wayfinding.”
LocusMaps has collaborated with third-party applications, such as airport e-commerce software, Grab which was created by contactless ordering company, Servy. Passengers can view menus and purchase meals at their convenience through the food delivery tool.
“AUS is well-known by travellers to be one best airports in the country. The airport’s investment in enhancing the traveller experience by providing interactive digital maps makes this incredible aviation gateway to Austin, a global culture and business hub, more accessible than ever,” explained Michael Fox, VP of product for LocusLabs.
The mobile and desktop friendly service can be accessed via the website, through the QR code feature or by using certain airline apps – including American, Delta and United.
