Avianca 100 Not Out

Colombia’s flag carrier celebrates its centenary in the midst of one of the most turbulent periods in its 100-year history. But, backed by able partners and driven by a new-look management team armed with a bold ‘back-to-basics’ turnaround strategy, the airline has reason to be optimistic, as Craig West reports.

 As one of the world’s oldest carriers, Avianca Airlines has certainly endured its fair share of highs and lows, but rarely in its 100-year history has it faced a challenge quite so monumental as it does today.
