Fuel planning for longer routes

After the simple navigation exercise we completed in the last issue, you have hopefully thrown away the GPS and the VOR gauges and vowed never to use them again. We have seen that by using good planning techniques, visual navigation can be almost as accurate and more enjoyable than using electronic aids. This issue we explore fuel factors that will enable us to accurately plan and fly longer routes.
