One of the highlights for any budding pilot is the first time they land an aircraft. I still remember mine a significant number of decades later! Let’s face it, aeroplanes are totally out of their element when on the ground and setting up the aircraft to ensure a smooth and safe touchdown is one of the most demanding and yet satisfying aspects of flying.
