Blue Air Training is one of the expanding numbers of contractor air support companies in the US that are helping the military with its readiness requirements. Combat Aircraft Journal meets the company during operations at Yuma, Arizona, as it rolled out its new OV-10 Broncos.

Founded in 2011 and now headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, Blue Air Training is one of the original contract providers of close air support (CAS) for US military Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTACs). The brainchild of former US Air Force A-10 pilot James ‘Chef’ Barlow, the company has operations as far and wide as Pensacola, Florida, and Yuma, Arizona.
