Barry Woods-Turner joined the celebrations in Riga as Latvian flag carrier air Baltic took delivery of the world’s first Bombardier CS300.

A suitably stunning display of music and lights welcomed what Martin Gauss, airBaltic’s Chief Executive Officer, described as a ‘wonder jet’ to Latvia in front of 2,000 guests including the President of Latvia, Raimonds Vējonis, VIPs, company employees and the media. Gauss declared at the December 1 event: ‘We are very proud to welcome our maiden CS300. We are also the first carrier in the world to take delivery and launch commercial operations with this new airliner – the most innovative and technologically advanced aircraft in the world. Bombardier’s CS300 is an integral part in the execution of our development strategy and fleet optimisation planning.”
