Tools of the trade…

In this, the second part of our series I on air combat simulation, we will be looking at ways of optimising the various features within your adopted simulation and we will also offer advice on what to look for when choosing your combat aircraft. Before we can begin to explore the many facets of air combat, we need to make sure that the ‘tools’ and the environment in which we will be flying are configured correctly and to a level of fidelity that will allow us to have the most realistic combat experience possible within the inherent limitations of the host software. So to that end, the first task to undertake, before even jumping into your chosen aircraft, is to configure and maximise the ‘realism’ settings.
