Helicopters provide vital support to the majority of the Armée de Terre’s (French Army’s) operations. Its primary helicopter formation, the 4e Brigade d’Aérocombat (4e BAC, 4th Air Combat Brigade) conducts joint combat training all year round, with other participants including l’Armée de l’Air et de l’Espace (French Air and Space Force), increasingly involved.
