Miles Messenger G-AKIN is a very special aeroplane in all sorts of ways, particularly in terms of its nearly 70-year — and counting — association with the same airfield
If you were after a fitting salute to the excellence of Miles aeroplanes, look no further than Messenger 2A G-AKIN. Once a much-used private mount, now a part of British aviation heritage, this fine machine helps perpetuate the memory of its manufacturer, and of its former owners. What’s more, it holds a very notable distinction. Since April 1952, G-AKIN has called Sywell aerodrome in Northamptonshire its home.
