The big aspirations of GlobalX

Less than a year after its launch, one US charter operator is eyeing exceptional expansion plans in a post-pandemic world. Chris Sloan reports

Amid a flurry of airlines to launch worldwide in 2021, one is declaring its ambitions in its very name: GlobalX (GX). The Miami, Florida-based outfit is the newest Federal Aviation Administration Part 121 operator, certifying it to fly aircraft of 30+ seats as domestic, flag carrier and supplemental airliner in the United States. Its sales pitch slogan is simple: “Global presence. Local focus.”
