Even before the prototype 787-10 made its maiden flight, it was no longer Boeing’s newest airliner, that accolade had been handed over to the first 737 MAX 9 that was rolled out at Renton, Washington State on March 7. However, the MAX 9’s debut was more of a low-key event than that of its bigger sister a month earlier when the 45th US President, Donald Trump addressed an invited audience of 5,000 VIPs, employees and the media.
