British Airways reveal new domestic destination from London City Airport

The Docklands gateway is to be connected with an additional Scottish destination this winter.

BA CityFlyer is poised to launch new daily flights between London City and Aberdeen.

The airline – a wholly-owned subsidiary of British Airways – will roster Embraer E190s on the seasonal link, which begins on November 1 and runs until January 22.

The move will “provide stronger domestic connectivity to London”.

Mark Beveridge, operations director at Aberdeen International Airport, said: “It is great to see British Airways growing its offering and presence at Aberdeen International Airport with these new daily flights to London City.

“Routes like London City are important to help drive the economy connecting the business community to key markets.

“It also provides a great opportunity for people to come see the great area our corner of the country is with fantastic food and drink offerings,” he added.

British Airways already connects the Granite City with London/Heathrow on multiple daily rotations using Airbus A320 Family types.
