Hispano HA-1112-M1L Buchón C.4K-105/G-AWHH has been sold to the Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar. Starting in the 2023 season, the Biggin Hill-based Flyaspitfire.com operation intends to use the Spanish-built, Rolls-Royce Merlin-engined Messerschmitt Bf 109 to accompany its two-seat Spitfire passenger flights for formation tailchase experiences.

The Buchón was among the Battle of Britain film fleet preserved for many years by ‘Connie’ Edwards in Big Spring, Texas, before being sold off to Swiss-based Boschung Global in 2014. Acquired in turn by Anglia Aircraft Restorations and shipped to the UK during 2017, G-AWHH was returned to flying condition by Air Leasing at Sywell, taking to the air again in June 2018 and thereafter being operated from both the Northamptonshire airfield and from Duxford. Its colour scheme was that of ‘White 9’, a Bf 109 of Jagdgeschwader 52 operating on the Russian front.
