The new shell and more

My 737 cockpit started life as a project for a series of articles for PC Pilot, consequently, it was never really planned but simply evolved as each article progressed. In fact, I continued to refine it, adding more and more functionality until the time came (five years ago) to dismantle it because my wife and I decided to move to a more modern home.

Our new home was chosen with a number of factors in mind, two of which included a room suitable for my cockpit and an integral garage that could be converted into a workshop. This was after much negotiation with the property manager (also known as ‘the wife’), who unsurprisingly had a totally different set of requirements to mine.
