ButtKicker Gamer Plus review

Add some ‘feel’ to your simulation

When ‘The Boss’ asked me to review ButtKicker Gamer Plus, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Of course, I’d heard about these devices but have never looked at one, or even thought about getting one. I did have a force feedback yoke for a time but wasn’t very impressed with it. In fact, after a short time, I switched off the force feedback option.

So, this will be the first time I’ve looked at a product like this. Although I’m reviewing it, I’ll be doing so from the perspective of a normal customer, with no preconceived opinions. This is the latest product from the company that first developed such a device, ButtKicker Haptics. It follows its earlier Gamer2 product but adding more power and upgraded interconnects, cabling, clamping and mounting options. Along with the new HaptiConnect interface, it’s said to provide deeper in-game integration for greater immersion. So, let’s get to unpacking this beast!
