Canada’s ISR King Airs approved

The US Department of State approved the sale to Canada of three Beechcraft King Air 350ER twin-engine turboprops configured for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions on October 5. The aircraft, with a unit price of some $100 million, will be fitted with a sensor suite including Wescam MX- 15D multi-spectral imaging sensors and will be equipped with Northrop Grumman’s AN/AAR-47B(V)2 missile and laser warning system and the BAE Systems AN/ALE-47 chaf, flare and decoy dispensers for self-defence.
