Dutch C-130Hs head to the US hills for Exercise Mountain Bull

In July, the Netherlands flew three of its four legacy C-130Hs to Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado to take part in Exercise Mountain Bull. Frank Visser spoke with the commander of No 336 Squadron RNLAF and his US counterpart

The Royal Netherlands Air Force’s (RNLAF’s) 336 Squadron has operated the C-130H-30 since 1994 and bought two more in 2007 to conduct air transport all over the world. It is primarily tasked by the European Air Transport Command, which is based at Eindhoven Air Base. However, since 2012, the squadron has been working on building up its tactical airlift capabilities.
