On this day 93 years ago, Pan American Airways commenced operations with a flight from Key West, Florida to Havana, Cuba.
The service was a contract air mail operation and was flown using a Sikorsky S-36. Between 1927 and 1991 when the airline ceased flying, Pan Am flew more than 50 aircraft types, here's a complete timeline them all!
