Court Line Aviation was unlike any other airline seen in Britain when it was rebranded from Autair International Airways and adopted a bright 1970s styling. Richard Payne charts the rise and fall of this notable airline.

The relaunched holiday airline revealed at the dawning of the 1970s with its new multi-coloured look, which appeared on everything, was certainly eye-catching. It was bright, it was bold and it was innovative. The airline meant business – the holiday business – and it was going to be fun from beginning to end.
