Tony Dixon and Martin Needham consider the latest offerings from the world of cabin interiors with a run-down of innovations and concepts that starred at this year’s Crystal Cabin Awards.

HELD DURING the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) at the Hamburg Messe in Germany, the Crystal Cabin Awards (CCA) have become the ‘Oscars’ of their industry. The First Mayor of the City of Hamburg, Dr Peter Tschentscher, said of the awards ceremony: “It is the internationally acknowledged barometer of future trends in the aircraft. We are thrilled, year after year, to bring so many ingenious and visionary innovations together in Hamburg – innovations that are beneficial to passengers and [operators] alike.”
