Czech Hinds being prepped for Ukraine transfer

With the Czech Air Force expected to withdraw its Mi-24/35 fleet from service at the end of the year, it has been revealed that they are set to be donated to Ukraine.

During a press briefing on May 23, US Secretary of Defense, Lloyd J Austin thanked the Czech Republic for its substantial support, including a donation of attack helicopters, tanks and rocket systems.

While the Czech government has remained tight-lipped about the delivery of the helicopters, Key.Aero can exclusively reveal that two Mi-35s – 3362 and 3370 – are being prepared for transfer to Ukrainian Army Aviation. Both have recently been overhauled by LOM Praha Helicopters at Kbely, with 3362 being delivered back to the 221st Helicopter Squadron at Namest nad Oslavou in August 2021.
