Burning Blue Design has announced EGML Damyns Hall Aerodrome for Microsoft Flight Simulator is out now.
The aerodrome has been faithfully recreated based on 2023 data with high-resolution colour-corrected ground textures taken from Bing maps and manipulated for consistency and realism.
Other highlights include an accurate runway, taxiways and signs, authentic night lighting, and more than 60 custom 3D objects, each with full PBR (Physical Based Rendering) textures. Various animations include hangar doors which close at night, a custom windsock and spectators.
The surrounding area has been enhanced with local detail such as EWC Wedding Cars, Gerpins Farm Airfield (an adjacent private farm strip) and nearby industrial estates.
Various real-life static aircraft at Damyns Hall are also modelled, including Boeing Stearmans and de Havilland Tiger Clubs.
