Digital Design’s Liverpool John Lennon Airport

Welcome to the ‘Magical Mystery Tour’

Within the flight sim world, the heavy metal or airline pilot is pretty much a creature of habit. They mostly fly from big hubs like Heathrow or JFK with destinations often being other large hubs like Frankfurt or Tokyo Narita. It’s often why there can be multiple versions of Gatwick or LAX available for sale. I’m no different. I tend to stick around Vienna or Zurich for my Airbus flying. And that’s a shame because there’s a huge world out there of regional airports that offer plenty of interesting challenges, beautiful views or simply a change from the large hubs we’ve all been using. With that in mind, I’m looking at one of the UK’s regional airports: Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport by Digital Design.
