Doha debrief from IATA's Annual General Meeting

Labour shortages don’t seem to worry the International Air Transport Association (IATA), but some airlines see a looming problem, reports Richard Schuurman from the IATA AGM in Doha

If there was a trending topic at the recent IATA Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Doha, Qatar back in June, it was Jennifer Lopez. She was flown in specially by host Qatar Airways for a 40-minute concert in the air-conditioned Khalifa International Stadium during a lavish gala dinner. Qatar Airways Group chief executive, Akbar Al Baker, raised the bar once again: “When we do something, we like to do it better.”
