E-3 Sentry versus E-7 Wedgetail

The US Air Force has recently announced the Boeing E-7 Wedgetail as a replacement for the venerable Boeing E-3 Sentry. Sérgio Santana compares the two aircraft

Both the E-3 and E-7 are airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft – they fly at over 29,000ft (E-3) and up to 41,000ft (E-7) and monitor the airspace around them.
